An Exciting Change
In 2016, Canada eSchool became a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia International College (CIC). CIC recently celebrated its 40th anniversary in the city of Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Canada eSchool is able to leverage the resources of CIC, the largest private boarding school in Ontario. This partnership with CIC makes Canada eSchool unique among private online high schools.
In order to better serve our students, parents, and education centres in Ontario and around the globe, we are able to use the extensive services available at CIC . This gives Canada eSchool the ability to provide students everywhere the support they need to improve their grades and earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
What is eSchool?
Canada eSchool is an Ontario based private online secondary school which caters to the educational needs of secondary school students around the world. The primary focus of our school is to make available a quality education to those students who aspire to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma that is recognized and accepted by colleges and universities in Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
Maintaining a High Standard
Our school is regularly inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The purpose of the Ministry inspection is to confirm that the standard of instruction is satisfactory in courses leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This means the structure of the courses, the quality of the teaching, and the work of the students must be consistent with the Ministry of Education’s Ontario Schools Kindergarten to grade 12 Policy and Program Requirements document. All courses are constructed in accordance with Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools, 2010.
Authorization
The Principal of Canada eSchool is authorized by the Ministry of Education in Ontario, Canada to grant credits leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The mident number of Canada eSchool is 666211.
Our Learning Model
eSchool takes an accommodating approach to secondary school student learning. We understand that students are often faced with limited course offerings, less than desirable timetables, time constraints and difficulties studying. Our e-learning platform provides a flexible and attractive alternative to regular day school.
Our school also collaborates with many public schools, private schools, international schools, tutoring centres and other institutions to assist students who require flexible start dates and the ability to set a modified learning pace in their chosen courses of study.
